The “Tail”

The “tail” of the island is characterized by a tree-lined boulevard with side ramps and green plots, which were once used to spread and mend the large fishing nets and for popular festivals. Today it is a relaxing area offering a beautiful belvedere on the open lake between Pallanza and Laveno, the Ossola and Swiss mountains and the western edge of the lake with the river Toce and the granite quarries of Baveno and Montorfano.
